Sisters United Against Cancer

Did you know that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer at some point during their lifetime? Aside from skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women.

These facts are alarming, but they’re also reality. Breast cancer is a disease that occurs when malignant breast tissue cells start growing abnormally and uncontrollably. This deadly cancer can affect anyone (even men, albeit rarely).

While we’ll leave the diagnosis and subsequent treatment up to the experts, we’re proud to honor the courageous survivors, fighters, and fallen who have battled this terrible disease. To support the breast cancer community we’re participating in the Wellness Walk & Fundraiser on October 16th put on by the Supporting Sisters United Against Cancer charity — a foundation formed by an existing AlDa patient after her battle with breast cancer.

Here’s everything you need to know about the inspirational event.

Who:

You! (But if you need more info on the event, please reach out directly to [email protected].)

What:

Join the non-profit charity Supporting Sisters United Against Cancer and our staff as we support not only our patient, but the millions of people who have dealt with the harrowing realities of breast cancer whether directly or indirectly.

Where

Bird Park, Walpole, MA

When

Oct. 16, 2021

11am -3pm

Why:

The purpose of the walk is to provide and promote natural remedies and resources for hope and healing. Whether you’re walking for yourself or for a loved one, your support is significant. It’s through the relationships we create and the people we lean in that we’re able to find comfort and solidarity. In tough times, you show up: that matters. Every donation and every intent counts.

How can you show up?

There are many ways to show up, and we encourage everyone to choose the way that best suits who they are: Donate baked goods, provide a silent auction item (gift basket, gift certificate), buy a t-shirt, participate in the wellness walk, or just come and enjoy the day.

How is AlDa helping?

In addition to showing our support physically, we’ll also be matching any donations sent to Sisters United Against Cancer. We know how important proper research, tools, and education can be and we are proud to contribute to a cause we all stand behind (not to mention we’re beyond proud of our patient for her continued bravery).

We hope to see you out there and we can’t wait to keep fighting for a cure and for all the inspiring men and women who have dealt first-hand with this disease. Give us a call and let us know if we can count on your presence (781) 826-5400
