Allergan Medical Institute Welcomes Their Newest Trainer: Alyssa D’Arcy!

Before starting AlDa, Alyssa received her master’s in nursing and worked at Boston Children’s Hospital from 2002-2018, where she cared for and treated some of the sickest kids in the world in the medical-surgical intensive care unit. Over time, she decided to take a step back to explore other aspects of nursing in search of a more uplifting career. With her dedication to continued growth and education, Alyssa became certified in neuromodulators and dermal fillers and was quickly asked to join a local medical spa team as an injector.

Our very own Alyssa D’Arcy — Co-owner, Cans Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, Registered Nurse, BSN, CCRN, Master Trained Nurse Injector, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), MSN FNP-C CANS — is upping her game once again. She recently received her Allergan Medical Institute (AMI) trainer status! As she collects new credentials and certifications, our practice is able to expand its offerings, and we couldn’t be prouder and more excited.

Okay, so what does that mean? The training program was created by Allergan, the makers of BOTOX®, Juvederm, Voluma, Kybella, Latisse, and SkinMedica, to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Trainers meet every year to learn and discuss the newest techniques through hands-on training with top plastic surgeons and dermatologists, roundtable forums with leaders in the industry, and dedicated panels pertaining to hot topics and treatments on the rise. Additionally, with exclusive resources available for trainers, the education continues after the annual congregation through online courses and digital events.

Certified trainers are able to educate and teach other industry professionals as well, meaning the whole AlDa office will learn tips and tricks of the trade from the talented Ms. D’Arcy. In fact, other practices will now be able to have her visit and help educate other industry professionals, making her (more of) a titan of industry and powerhouse injector.
